We believe that the spaces in which children learn and grow should be calm, beautiful, and filled with natural inspiration. From our organic gardens to our cosy classrooms, every detail has been intentionally created to nurture curiosity, independence, creativity, and a deep respect for the Earth.
Our Outdoor Sanctuary
At Home Grown, our outdoor space is a natural extension of the classroom, a vibrant sanctuary where children connect with the earth through play, movement, and discovery. Designed with intention, it features native plants, eco friendly play equipment, sensory trails, and open spaces that encourage exploration and imagination.
Whether they’re climbing wooden structures, making art with natural materials, or listening to stories under the trees, children are invited to experience the wonder of the world around them. Our Little Green Fingers programme brings learning to life in our organic vegetable garden, where children plant, nurture, and harvest their own crops, building a sense of patience, responsibility, and care for the environment. Our garden is not just a place to play, it’s where children develop physical confidence, environmental awareness, and a lasting love for nature.

Indoors, our learning environments are designed to feel like a home away from home, warm, welcoming, and deeply respectful of childhood. Filled with natural light, inviting spaces, and calming colours, our classrooms create a nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore, question, and express themselves.
Each space is intentionally created to inspire meaningful play and independent learning. From the use of natural materials to warm, cosy corners for rest and reflection, every element encourages creativity, collaboration, and confidence.

From curriculum to classroom, garden to governance, sustainability is a thread that runs through every corner of our nursery. We don’t just talk about sustainability, we live it, teach it, and model it for our children, families, and wider community.

Sustainable Practices
At Home Grown Children’s Eco Nursery, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. From plastic-free lunches and daily routines to on-site composting and recycling, we give children hands-on opportunities to care for the planet. Most of our artwork is crafted from recycled or upcycled materials, sparking creativity while reducing waste. We carefully source our toys, materials, and playground equipment from ethical suppliers, choosing natural textures such as wood and fabric wherever possible. Outdoors, children explore green spaces filled with native plants, pollinator-friendly gardens, and sensory pathways designed to connect them with local biodiversity. Our regular “Eco Days” and parent-child sustainability workshops extend this ethos beyond the classroom, helping families embrace environmentally responsible habits together.
Sustainability in the Curriculum
Children learn best by doing, and our Green Engagement Programme brings sustainability to life through everyday activities. From tending to our organic vegetable garden and composting food scraps to creating art from recycled materials and caring for our outdoor spaces, children gain hands-on experience that nurtures a sense of responsibility, empathy, and connection to the natural world. This immersive approach helps them see themselves as active stewards of the environment, cultivating habits and values that last a lifetime.
STEM in Nature
At Home Grown Children’s Eco Nursery, every part of our curriculum is rooted in love, trust, compassion, and a deep respect for the natural world. As we nurture young minds through meaningful, nature, connected learning, we are proud to introduce our unique take on STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
For us, STEM is more than an academic framework. It symbolises the stem of a plant — the strong, supportive structure that helps life grow and flourish. Just as the stem carries water and nutrients to every part of a plant, our STEM experiences carry rich opportunities for exploration, curiosity, and discovery.
Inspiring Our Community
Sustainability begins at home, and we strive to be a role model and resource for our families and the wider community.
We host eco-workshops for parents, including topics such as zero-waste living, mindful practices and others. We organize beach clean-ups, and community recycling challenges We partner with local eco-businesses and changemakers to support broader sustainability goals across Dubai and the UAE.

Our goal is simple but powerful: to help children develop a lifelong love for the Earth. When children grow up with soil under their fingernails, leaves in their hair, and stories about how to care for the creatures around them, they don’t just learn sustainability—they become sustainability.
